Ryoko It just feels so surreal, its a nice album to let coast when you need to relax, like being in a cafe, in a small town in another country where you dont speak the language.

Mireille Derouane Ça fait plus de 30 ans, si pas 40, que j’ai lu La nuit des Temps qui m’avait fortement marquée à l’époque. Belle évocation musicale qui fait ressurgir ces émotions. The past and present collide...

about

Modular days. Electronic assemblies.
Autonomous if you step aside. Self-thinking sometimes. Looking unusual, sounding unusual.
Modular music is accidental, non-linear, generative, natural. And elusive.
".612" was slowly crafted over the span of two months across 2019's winter. These were dark days. Eyes glued to the garden window, 30.000 feet high. Why am I doing this ? How encouragement works ? Mostly improvised. All patterns have been erased or forgotten since then. Most parts were played just once. I didn't take any notes to keep things on track. Fact is at that time I couldn't care less. I just sat in front of the modular and played the lines that best reflected my mood. I would start in the morning and hit record for four hours. Then back to bed. Downcast.
Dreaming about the fragile solitude of a lonely beach and the slow drone of fractal waves eroding the shore. Longing for rising melodies that clatter. And vanish into the wind beaten sea. Visions of snowy white peaks and broken clouds.

And the wind. Titles were inspired by Barjavel's novel "La Nuit des Temps", a story where the past and present collide. And leaves the future uncertain. Decorated by glacial melancholy. A tale of disintegrating love. A tale of disintegrating societies. The ".612" sound is all about disintegration. It's a journey for the patient and careful people. The score of the dawning. For the one who knows how to admire it. It’s the score of a vanishing year. For the one who wants to remember.
